The Museum of Flight offers many drop-in and pre-booked activities for Connections members and their families. Online reservations are available for the following activities.

The following programs are a special one-time cost. Regular museum admission is always FREE for Connections members.

The Pilot Experience

Join us weekends for a one-hour experience in the Aviation Learning Center to see if you have what it takes to become a pilot. Inspect a real Cirrus SR20 for safety, plot your course, and take off into the sky in our professional-grade simulators.

Ages 10 and up. Children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult (if adult is just chaperoning and not participating, they do not need a ticket)

Sessions at 11 AM & 1 PM.

Push it to the limit in The Test Pilot Experience!

Join us on select weekend mornings for a new one-hour experience. You’ll get a closer look at some of the Museum’s most dynamic aircraft and explore their connection to the Apollo astronauts, all before testing your skills as a Test Pilot in our flight simulators. Sign up today!

Please note: The experience starts at 9am, before the museum opens. Upon registering for the event, you will be contacted by Aviation Learning Center staff with further instructions for greeting the museum educator leading your experience and gaining early access to the museum.

Challenger Learning Center-Mission to Mars

Have you always wanted to experience life in the International Space Station? Or to be a geologist on the surface of Mars? You won't want to miss our Challenger learning Center experience "2019: To the Moon and Beyond"! Located on Phobos, your crew is being sent to Mars for a 1 week study of its surface. However, your mission is put into jeopardy when an asteroid is discovered that's on a collision course with Mars! All your communication and teamwork skills will be put to the test as you deal with this emergency and its aftermath.

Sponsored by Boeing, this simulated space exploration mission is available on select dates throughout the year.

Ages 11 and up. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Adults also require a ticket.

Sessions are at 11:00AM unless otherwise noted
