Drop-In Programs
Thank you for your interest in The Museum of Flight’s Boeing Academy for STEM Learning education programs.
While we are currently not taking reservations for programs, we invite you to look at our past roster of programs to see the topics that we explore in our offerings.
We currently are exploring and developing our next phase of remote programs, including a range of online and by-mail experiences. We look forward to working with you soon.

We have a variety of hands-on, “drop-in” activities available to bring the excitement of aerospace to your science night or community festival. These community event programs are designed to engage a wide variety of learners.

For all programs an indoor space with access to electricity is required.

Availability & Price


Whirligig Wind Table

Families and individuals over 5 years old build whirligig helicopters and see them fly in the wind table. This program allows for an average of 60 participants per hour, with a minimum of 2 hours.

  • Whirligig Wind Table $150 per hour

Additional fees may apply for multiple location visits on a single day.




Flying Contraptions

Using our portable wind tunnels, families and individuals over 6 years old can design and test different flying contraptions using basic household materials. Participants can investigate how changing design and materials can affect the flight of an object. This program allows for an average of 60 participants per hour with a minimum of 2 hours.

  • Flying Contraptions $150 per hour

Robot Garage

Families and individuals over 8 years old use lots of robots parts and their imagination to design and build moving robotic creations in this robot workshop. This program allows for an average of 60 participants per hour, with a minimum of 2 hours.
