We have a variety of hands-on, “drop-in” activities available to bring the excitement of aerospace to your science night or community festival. These community event programs are designed to engage a wide variety of learners.

For all programs an indoor space with access to electricity is required.

Whirlgig Wind Table

Families and individuals over 5 years old build whirligig helicopters and see them fly in the wind table. This program allows for an average of 60 participants per hour, with a minimum of 2 hours.

Robot Garage

Families and individuals over 8 years old use lots of robots parts and their imagination to design and build moving robotic creations in this robot workshop. This program allows for an average of 60 participants per hour, with a minimum of 2 hours.

Suited for Space

Families and individuals over 10 years old work in small groups to design and build “space suits” from household materials to protect a marshmallow astronaut to discover what happens to the human body in space. Participants will test their designs in the vacuum chamber and evaluate their success. This program allows for an average of 25 participants per hour, with a minimum of 2 hours.
