"Furlough Friday" admission half-price for JBLM employees through September,
Blue Star Museum program extended for military

SEATTLE, July 17, 2013--The Museum of Flight offers half-price admission discounts to furloughed civilian employees of Joint Base Lewis-McChord from July 19 through September 30, 2013. The Museum's "Furlough Friday" program honors the JBLM civilian employees impacted by a Pentagon-mandated plan requiring base employees to take one unpaid day off per week - usually Friday - from July 8 through September. The Furlough Friday program grants half-price admission to JBLM civilian employees plus one guest any day of the week. Civilian employees must present their Department of Defense identification card for the discounts. The summer Blue Star Museum program offering free admission to active military and their family has been extended to the end of September.
