Once a month, the Museum stays open late-and admission is free! Enjoy the Museum's T.A. Wilson Great Gallery, J. Elroy McCaw Personal Courage Wing, Space: Exploring the New Frontier exhibit, and the new Amelia Earhart exhibit, In Search of Amelia Earhart. Also enjoy the flight simulators and more from 5 - 9 p.m., courtesy of Wells Fargo. Museum Store and Wings Café will also remain open for the extended hours on this night.

The three-stage rocket that carried U.S. astronauts to the Moon stood higher than the Statue of Liberty! Visitors will learn about the creation of the Saturn 5 and its successful missions to the Moon, then build their own Saturn 5 rocket model!
Lockheed Super G Constellation-A Work in Progress

The Lockheed Constellation was the "epitome of piston engine airliners." Join Museum volunteer Bob Bogash in a fascinating presentation on this Trans-Canada Air Lines aircraft and its history.
"Legerdemain": Theories of Amelia's Disappearance with David K. Bowman
Saturday, Jan. 16, 2 p.m., William M. Allen Theater
Author David K. Bowman presents an overview of the theories of Amelia Earhart's disappearance, as describe in his award winning book "Legerdermain." Archivist David Bellarts, whose father was the last person to hear from Amelia and her navigator, will be in the lobby all day with artifacts and stories from the fateful flight. A book signing will follow the presentation.
"Amelia Earhart: Mystery Solved" Lecture and Book Signing with Elgen Long

The disappearance of Amelia "has long haunted the popular imagination." Author Elgen Long will present a solution to the mystery. A book signing will follow the presentation.

Tom D. Crouch, senior curator of the Division of Aeronautics at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum, has written and edited over a dozen books. $10 general admission / $5 for Museum members.

Tom D. Crouch, senior curator of the Division of Aeronautics at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum, recalls the life and times of Amelia Earhart.
Astronaut Remembrance Weekend

For two days, the Museum remembers the fallen astronauts of Apollo 1 and space shuttles STS-51-L Challenger and STS-107 Columbia during the anniversary of the tragedies.

Saturday, Jan. 30 and Sunday, Jan. 31, 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.
Visitors will learn about the history of space mission patches, then make their own space mission patch to honor the American astronauts who have given their lives to advance the progress of space travel.
20th Anniversary of STS-32 with Dr. Bonnie J. Dunbar

In recognition of Astronaut Remembrance Week, Dr. Dunbar will talk about her second mission aboard the Space Shuttle.
