City Centre Museum Holiday Gift Store open through Dec. 24
SEATTLE, Nov. 25, 2009--Give the gift of dreams and discovery this holiday season with a unique gift from The Museum of Flight. A thrill for children and adults alike, the Museum's Aviation Learning Center and Challenger Learning Center© packages offer the hands-on opportunity to explore the skies like a real pilot or astronaut. Fly a mission to Mars or the Moon. Solve real problems like the engineers in NASA's Mission Control. Perform critical science operations from inside a spacecraft. Explore the skies from the racecar-like cockpit of a Cirrus airplane and fly simulators equipped with Microsoft Flight Simulator Software®. Whatever package you choose, the sky's the limit!

These packages, along with extraordinary gift ideas for the flight dreamers on your list are available at both the City Centre location (1420 5th Ave., Seattle) and the Museum Store at The Museum of Flight, as well as on the Museum website at www.museumofflight.org. At all locations, you'll find air- and space-related toys, educational, historical, and collectible items, ornaments, calendars, books, apparel, and museum memberships - the ideal gifts to fill your holiday wish list! Store hours are 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon - 6 p.m. Sunday.

The Challenger Learning Center (CLC) is one of 47 in the nation, founded by the families of the Astronauts lost on the Space Shuttle (STS-51L) in 1986. The Aviation Learning Center (ALC) is wholly developed and owned by The Museum of Flight. Both facilities are located on-site at the main Museum. In addition to youth programs, adults may also reserve time for combination dinners in the ALC catered by McCormick and Schmick's, and flights in the simulators with a variety of aircraft, including those used in WWII dogfights.
