Model-making meets 3-D games at The Museum of Flight on Oct. 17

SEATTLE, Oct. 6, 2009

--On Oct. 17 the Museum welcomes back the Northwest Historical Miniatures Gaming Society for an exhibition of their fascinating hobby, which combines the challenges of fine model-making and sophisticated strategy game-playing. Located in the Museum's Great Gallery, several games will be demonstrated at the show, including games featuring aerial combat, a 1930s air racing game, hydroplane racing and other earthbound battles. Visitors are encouraged to participate in the game play but can also just watch the action or visit the society's information table to see more amazing miniatures and learn about the group and the hobby. The family-friendly games and exhibits are open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and free with admission to the Museum.
