Not in the path of totality for the Great American Solar Eclipse on August 21? Don't be sad, meet us at the Museum for a totality of fun with other eclipse fans, including NASA!

Join Museum educators and NASA scientists outside the main entrance as we watch the almost total eclipse of the sun from 9:30 to 10:30 AM (Outside viewing FREE, no reservations required).

Then watch this amazing event via livestream from cities in the path of totality. NASA's Eclipse MegaCast live coverage will be shown in the Allen Theater from 9:30 to 11:45 AM (FREE with admission to the Museum).

Viewing the eclipse without special eye protection can cause serious damage to your eyes. The first 1,000 visitors to the Museum will receive free and totally safe eclipse viewing glasses courtesy of NASA. For more information about safely viewing the eclipse, NASA has tips.

NASA's Gulfstream III Science Aircraft will be based at the Museum Aug. 20-21 for its airborne science mission of the Aug. 21 eclipse, and will be flying high over Oregon during totality at about 10:12 AM Be sure to stay around and greet the NASA plane when it arrives later in the morning!
