Author Darragh Metzger discusses her new book Alaska Over Israel. In 1948, Alaska Airlines was a small, struggling company, when it was called upon to help rescue Jewish refugees from around the world and deliver them to the newly reborn nation of Israel. With inadequate aircraft and little preparation, Alaskan pilots and crew little suspected they would create an aviation legend.
Metzger's presentation will include an excerpt from her new book, a Q&A session and book signing.
