Presented by the Royal Aeronautical Society Seattle Branch

Modern Unlimited Hydroplanes have much in common with airplanes. From the Lycoming engines that power them, to F-16 canopies and carbon fiber skins, modern powerboats owe a lot to aviation, but the connection goes back over 100 years to 1918 when WWI surplus airplane engines first showed up in a race boat. David Williams, Executive Director of the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum who also has more than 40 years racing experience will talk about the fascinating ways that aviation has influenced powerboat racing.
