Amazing Skies Theater
Amazing Skies Theater is The Museum of Flight’s multi-generational drama troupe comprised of volunteers from all around the Puget Sound. We perform in our new Personal Courage Wing, in The Red Barn and in other venues in the Museum.
We perform two kinds of entertainment. “Living Moments” are short, scripted ten to fifteen minute plays we do on weekends during the hours of 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
“Brief Encounters” are improvised, living history scenarios we do near our exhibits. These characters perform on weekends and weekdays during the hours of 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Be part of the action.
We show our museum visitors the human side of history. To do this, we've engaged people who enjoy communicating with the public. Would you like to join us? Even if you don’t have theater training or experience, if you enjoy telling stories you can be a successful living history performer.
Want to help with costumes, writing, stage managing or research?
Presenting living history is only one way to get involved with Amazing Skies. If you like to work behind the scenes we have lots of interesting projects for you to do.
All you need is a free afternoon.
We plan our improvised living history characters around your schedule. Come in once a week, or every other week. Shifts are usually 2 or 3 hours. When you become a museum volunteer you will receive a character information kit and a tour of our performing venues and dressing room.
