A day of holiday events lands at the Museum with the airplane arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus at 10 a.m. The jolly couple will hear childrens’ wishes in the Museum until 2 p.m., while the galleries are filled with holiday fun with music by the Boeing Concert Orchestra and the Boeing Band. Family workshops at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. celebrate the “Wright Spirit” of the most famous brothers in the history of aviation: Wilbur and Orville Wright – inventors of the airplane. Learn how they solved the problem of controllable flight on Dec. 17, 1903; then make a model of one of their aircraft designs!

Outdoor event free, indoor events free with admission to the Museum.

Still the fastest piloted jet the world has ever seen some four decades
after its first flights, the Lockheed Blackbird continues to fascinate
and amaze. And so do the Museum's wonderfully knowledgeable docents!
Continuing a holiday tradition, the docents pull out all the stops for
their special Tip-to-Tail Tours of the Museum's unique M/D-21 Blackbird
and Drone. Even if you think you know the Blackbird story well, you are
sure to learn something new among the astounding facts and figures the
docents share.
