Daughter of Boeing test pilot recalls jet age childhood

SEATTLE, March 27, 2014--Rebecca Wallick's father Lew was a legendary test pilot for The Boeing Company for 35 years until his retirement in 1986. On April 5 Wallick will recall those times with a lecture based upon her recent book, "Growing Up Boeing: The Early Jet Age Through the Eyes of a Test Pilot's Daughter." Lew Wallick flew the first 727, and he was pilot or co-pilot on the first flights of the Boeing 737, 747SP, and 757, 767. The 2:30 p.m. lecture is free with admission to the Museum. The author will have a free book signing in the Museum lobby after the lecture.

The Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $19 for adults, $16 for seniors 65 and older, $16 for active military, $11 for youth 5 to 17, and free for children under 5.
