This annual exhibition asks photographers to submit images they feel embody “the spirit of flight.” Selected by a jury of museum staff and volunteers, the 2015 exhibition showcased a stunning selection of images curated from 182 photographs submitted by photographers from around the world, including three countries, seven U.S. States, and two Canadian Provinces. This exhibition showed through January 11, 2016.

<p>“An older gentleman in his 90s and his daughter took the <strong>B-17</strong> tour and the gentleman revealed that he was a <strong>ball turret gunner</strong> who had flown in over 25 missions in the B-17. For half an hour, I sat with him in the ball turret as he told his daughter and I what it was really like to fly and fight in the B-17. <strong>He ended up teaching me a lot</strong> and his daughter was grateful he could share his stories.”</p><p>-Docent</p>
