The Museum of Flight employees enjoy a comprehensive range of benefits and is market-competitive for a non-profit company of its size.
The Museum of Flight offers an enriched PPO health plan and pays 99 percent of monthly medical, dental, and vision premiums for employees. The Museum pays 65 percent of the monthly premium for employee spouses or domestic partners, and dependent children (up to age 25).
Life and Disability Insurance
We pay 100 percent of monthly premiums for life, short-term disability, accidental death & dismemberment, and business travel insurance.
403B – Pre-tax Deductions from Pay
Our staff may immediately participate in the voluntary portion of the tax-shelter plan.
The Museum also offers a company matching portion which is available after 1 year of employment with a minimum of 1000 work hours. The employee is required to contribute to the plan in order to participant in the company matching plan of 2% plus 0.05% for each year of service which is taken as a pretax deduction from pay. The company then matches by contributing 4% plus 0.1% for each year of service.
Employees may contribute up to 100 percent of their pre-tax compensation to a 403(b), up to the annual IRS maximum.
Our employees in their first year of employment may accrue a minimum of 10 days (two weeks) of paid vacation and 10 days of paid sick leave per year. We observe 9 designated holidays:

The Museum also offers the opportunity to earn up to 2 additional days in a calendar year through the Wellness Incentive Program.
