April 24 Book Signings with Astronaut Tom Jones and Space Entrepreneur Peter Diamandis

Date:
04/19/2012

"Sky Walking" and "Abundance" available at Museum

SEATTLE, April 19, 2012--One of the most acclaimed astronaut-authors, Tom Jones, and space entrepreneur and Chairman of the X Prize Foundation, Dr. Peter H. Diamandis, will be signing copies of their books at the Museum on April 24 from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Book signing admission is free. Books will be available for purchase through the Museum Store.

Jones, a four-time shuttle astronaut, is the author of "Sky Walking - An Astronaut's Memoir," and co-wrote "Planetology: Unlocking the Secrets of the Solar System," and "Hell Hawks!: The Untold Story of the American Fliers Who Savaged Hitler's Wehrmacht." The Wall Street Journal named "Sky Walking" as one of its "Five Best" books about space. Jones writes frequently for Air & Space Smithsonian, Aerospace America, Popular Mechanics, and American Heritage magazines.

Diamandis will be signing his book "Abundance -The Future is Better Than You Think," the bestseller he coauthored with journalist Steven Kotler. "Abundance" documents how progress in artificial intelligence, robotics, infinite computing, ubiquitous broadband networks, digital manufacturing, nanomaterials, synthetic biology, and many other exponentially growing technologies will enable us to make greater gains in the next two decades than we have in the previous 200 years.
