Aug. 24-25 program helps all prepare for science education and careers

SEATTLE, Aug. 16, 2013--The Museum of Flight wants to help students and parents with their autumnal academic choices with "Back to School Weekend," two days of programs, workshops, and presentations about science, technology, engineering, and math education. The Aug. 24-25, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. programs will be dedicated to informing students - and especially their parents - about new STEM opportunities in education and careers. Parents will learn more about how to help their children develop their interests in these topics and help them make better choices about future careers in the sciences, space travel and aerospace. Participants receive free school supply packs (while supplies last).

More than two dozen presenters including American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Pacific Science Center, Seattle Public Library, University of Washington and Blue Origin will attend. The event is sponsored by Honeywell, and is free with admission to the Museum. King County Foster Families can receive free passes through Treehouse. Free admission to the programs for Honeywell employees with ID.
