Museum Docent


Principle Activities:

Docents are an important resource at The Museum of Flight. They are among the first people to directly interact with visitors. Docents give tours, conduct aviation and space-related talks, and may be given the opportunity to present school programs. Docents are stationed throughout the Museum to answer questions about the exhibits and artifacts. Shift availability depends upon current needs.


Requirements:

  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Teaching or public speaking experience
  • The ability to work with diverse groups of children, adults, staff and volunteers
  • Be able to accept supervision and evaluation of your volunteer work

Training Classes:

Classes will include study of our exhibits, learning presentation and teaching skills, and taking field trips of applicable sites. For more information visit our Docents page below.
