Polish aviation designers are illuminated in this exhibit organized by the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow. The Museum of Flight is the exclusive Northwest venue for this show, which runs until February 2013.
Special Programs
Veterans Day Recognition and Ceremony Sunday, Nov. 11, 11 a.m.
The Museum recognizes the contributions of America's veterans at the annual Veterans Day Ceremony. Events include The Boeing Employees' Concert Band, Veterans Day ceremony featuring guest speakers, color guard and autograph session. There will also special programs for youth, adults and families. On Veterans Day all U.S. veterans and current U.S. military personnel will be admitted to the Museum free of charge.

American Fighter Aces Symposium

The Museum of Flight is home to the American Fighter Aces Association, founded to recognize the 1,442 combat pilots that have received the special designation of "ace." Join us for this panel of aces and combat pilots who will share their remarkable stories of heroism.

Voyage to Mars: Space Travel for Families
Saturday, Nov. 24, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Be an astronaut for a day! In this mission to Mars, your group is traveling to the Red Planet to replace a crew of astronauts who have been living there for the past two years. In addition to landing on the Martian surface, the team collects and analyzes geologic samples and launches exploratory probes to the two moons of Mars. The excitement takes place in the Museum's Challenger Learning Center, a facility designed to simulate space missions for large groups using a full-scale mission control center and a spacecraft cabin. Each mission uses hands-on activities engaging participants in teamwork, communication, problem-solving and critical thinking. And it is fun!

Once a month, the Museum stays open late and admission is free! Enjoy the Museum's Great Gallery, Personal Courage Wing, Red Barn, Space Gallery and more from 5 to 9 p.m., courtesy of Wells Fargo. Museum Store and Wings Café will also remain open for the extended hours on this night.

A day of holiday events lands at the Museum with the airplane arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus at 10 a.m. The jolly couple will hear childrens' wishes in the Museum until 2 p.m., while the galleries are filled with music and holiday fun.

They are the most famous brothers in the history of aviation: Wilbur and Orville Wright, the inventors of the airplane. Learn how they solved the problem of controllable flight. Then make a model of one of their aircraft designs!
