TUKWILA, Wash., Aug. 26, 2019—The exhibition Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission has set attendance records at The Museum of Flight—130,000 visitors since opening April 13—so to meet further demand through its closing day on Sept. 2, the Museum offers extended hours to its East Campus and Destination Moon from Aug. 28 - Sept. 2. Admission to the Museum will be discounted 5-9 p.m. ($15/adult and seniors, $10/youth), with Destination Moon ticketed separately at $10 all ages. Must arrive at or after 5 p.m. Normal hours for the Museum are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The Aviation Pavilion and Simonyi Space Gallery will be closed.

Destination Moon
The historic spacecraft that astronauts flew to the first Moon landing is the centerpiece of the Museum’s signature 2019 exhibit Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission. The exhibition is on view April 13-Sept. 2. It includes more than 20 one-of-a-kind artifacts, many flown on the historic mission, plus dozens of additions from the Museum’s renowned collection of NASA and Russian spaceflight treasures. The Museum is the only West Coast destination for the exhibit, done in partnership with the National Air and Space Museum and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.

The exhibit, without The Museum of Flight’s artifacts, makes its final stop at the Cincinnati Museum Center Sept. 28, 2019-Feb. 17, 2020.
