In an effort to be cautious amid COVID-19 and in compliance with orders issued by our state government, the Dahlberg Research Center & Harl V. Brackin Memorial Library are closed until further notice. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with reference inquiries at this time. We are also not accepting artifact donations in-person or by mail. However, we encourage you to continue to submit your requests and inquiries using the forms on our site during the closure and we will respond as soon as we are able. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.
Do you have an aviation or space-related project? The Museum of Flight Research Center, comprised of The Museum of Flight Archives, the Harl V. Brackin Memorial Library, and the Kenneth H. Dahlberg Reading Room, is here to help! Our staff is ready and willing to assist aviation and aerospace researchers, including students from all levels, authors, teachers, historians, model-makers, and more.
Advance appointments are required to review archival materials and aircraft manuals. Drop-in hours are available for those wishing to view library materials, although we strongly encourage all researchers to schedule appointments, as we may not be able to accommodate all drop-in requests.
Remote research assistance is available for those who cannot come to the Research Center in person. We provide one free hour of research assistance and are able to conduct further research for a fee.
Research Center Hours
Our drop-in hours are Monday-Thursday, 1pm to 5pm. Advance appointments are available Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm. We are closed for major holidays and every second Friday of the month for collections care activities. Paid admission to the Museum is not required to visit the Research Center.
