Our Girl Scout Badge Workshops guide Scouts through a full set of badge requirements to help them earn their badge.

Each Workshop delivers hands-on learning with fun, entertaining videos via an online portal (Prezi) and comes with a colorfully themed Workbook filled with activities developed by Museum Educators to complete each step for earning a badge. Badges sold separately.

Presented in partnership with the Girl Scouts of Western Washington.

Available Workshops

Junior Playing the Past Badge

Journey back in time to the world of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) – brave women who served the United States during World War II by supporting the military in getting airplanes to the places they needed to be! Juniors will spend time creating a character and learn what it was like to live, work and play as a young WASP in the 1940s.

Junior Aviation Badge

Explore the world of aviation and learn about what it takes to become a pilot! Scouts will learn all things general aviation – the skills a pilot needs to get their license, a virtual visit to The Museum of Flight to investigate aircraft engineering and some amazing stories of women aviators throughout history. Then Juniors put their knowledge into practice by following all the steps required to plan a flight around the Puget Sound!

This Badge is adapted from a program developed by the Kentucky Bluegrass Ninety-Nines and the Kentuckiana Regional Council. The Museum of Flight’s program was developed in partnership with the Girl Scouts of Western Washington and support from The Boeing Company.

*Badge sold separately at aviationbadges.com.

Junior Space Science Investigator Badge

Get ready for an out-of-this-world adventure exploring the solar system and beyond! Juniors will dive into topics and interactive investigations about the size and scale of space, the Earth, the Solar System and the stars. They’ll even learn how to set-up their own Star Party!

Cadette Space Science Researcher Badge

Dive into all the science that goes into observing the night sky and our universe! Cadettes will spend time on their own exploring the basics of astronomy – from the science of light and color to all that goes into studying the stars to ways they can take action to conserve the beauty of the night sky, this badge workshop leads Scouts through the five steps of becoming a Space Science Researcher.
