In connection with the 75th Anniversary of the end of World War II, the Museum is proud to present a series of tales of innovation, endurance, bravery, and sacrifice from the world’s greatest conflict. These 30-minute presentations given by Museum volunteers will be offered on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 1 p.m.

Sunday, April 5 | 1:00 PM - B-17 Legacy: The Uncles We Never Knew
Learn about the B-17 Flying Fortress and hear one family’s fascinating story about two uncles who served on B-17’s during World War II as a navigator and bombardier.

Sunday, April 19 | 1:00 PM - Jet engines, War - A Personal Journey
The German engineers who built the first operational jet engine navigate the turmoil of war and its aftermath to find new homes in other countries, the US in particular. There they built the engines for the jet age we know.

Untold Stories | WWII at 75

2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II; a war historians dubbed “The Good War” because it was a war that had to be fought and won. Untold Stories: World War II at 75, pays tribute to this important anniversary with new exhibits, special programs and events featuring a diverse array of some of the lesser known heroes and their stories.
