Have you ever visited The Museum of Flight and been fascinated by the Gossamer Albatross? What is that aircraft and how did it come about? The human desire to fly has persisted through history and complete fulfillment of this wish has only occurred in the 20th century. Even today, romantic associations with flying are still strong and have always had an exciting appeal.

In this presentation, Docent Jan Czechowski will examine the history human powered flight, both the silly and the serious, from the earliest attempts to imitate birds and up to the more sophisticated aircraft of today day. Registration is not required for this member-exclusive event.
