18th Annual Popsicle Stick Bridge Building Contest
Saturday, Feb. 9, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Younger Member Forum of the American Society of Civil Engineers will put on a competition of bridges built using only Popsicle sticks and white glue. Each year teams of high school students from local schools build bridges that are strong, efficient, as well as aesthetically pleasing. The bridges will be judged and then tested to failure with a hydraulic press.

Puget Sound Engineering Council Engineering Fair
Saturday, Feb. 9, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Puget Sound Engineering Council celebrates the annual National Engineers Week with an Engineering Fair. Local chapters of national societies representing the entire span of engineering disciplines will staff booths; those interested in engineering careers can learn more about the exciting opportunities available. Several university engineering departments and student clubs will also be represented.

Explore the world in miniature at the 2013 NorthWest Scale Modelers Show. See hundreds of detailed scale models of all types at the largest model show in the Northwest! Children aged 6 to 16 can build their own models under supervision of experts from NorthWest Scale Modelers and take them home.

Robot Dreams - Building R2-D2
Saturday, Feb. 16, 2 p.m.
Master Modeler Bob Jacobsen will talk about how he designed and built a life-size, operational model of the movie star droid R2-D2. Jacobsen will share the stage with the popular robot, and both will field questions from the audience following the presentation.

Red-Tailed Angels - The Story of the Tuskegee Airmen
Saturdays and Sundays, Feb. 16, 17, 23, 24, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
During World War II, African American pilots known as The Tuskegee Airmen flew as fighter escorts for Allied bombers in Europe and North Africa. To identify themselves they painted the tails of their planes red. Hear about their brave exploits and make an aviation button to honor these brave men.

The Museum of Flight is home to the American Fighter Aces Association, founded to recognize the 1,442 combat pilots who have received the special designation of "ace." Join us for this panel of aces and combat pilots who will share their remarkable stories of heroism.

Orion: America's Deep Space Human Spacecraft
Tuesday, Feb. 26, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Paul Marshall from NASA Johnson Space Center and Larry Price from Lockheed Martin Corp. will talk about new spacecraft under development, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle.
