Enjoy the sights and sounds of America's great B-17, B-24, B-25 bombers and TP-51C fighter as the Collings Foundation is based at the Museum for rides and ground tours June 22-24. Ground tours and flights will be available in the B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24J Liberator and B-25 Mitchell bombers, and a dual-control TF-51D Mustang fighter aircraft.
The planes are on the national "Wings of Freedom Tour" sponsored by the non-profit Collings Foundation.
The Collings' two-seat TF-51D is only one the few Mustangs with flight controls for the passenger, and the Foundation’s B-24J is the only one of its kind still flying. The Boeing B-17 is one of only about a 15 still flying.
The aircraft will be stationed at the Museum’s tarmac on Boeing Field.
