Museum Docent Dave Waggoner will deliver a presentation about World War II’s renowned “Doolittle Raid” over Japan on April 18, 1942. The bombing run lead by U.S. Army Air Forces Col. James Doolittle employed 16 B-25 Mitchells and was the United States’ first military response to the Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor.
Flying to the Museum to be on display that day will be a B-25 Mitchell operated by Spokane’s Historic Flight Foundation.
The plane, Grumpy, will be on view in the Museum’s East Parking lot, weather permitting. The lecture is FREE with Museum admission, Grumpy is on free display for all.
