The Museum’s NASA Full Fuselage Trainer is where every Space Shuttle astronaut trained for their missions. This exclusive, 1-hour experience takes you inside the Crew Compartment for an in-depth look at how astronauts lived and worked during their mission.
To begin your experience, you’ll receive a safety briefing and historic overview before stepping inside to explore the lower mid-deck living area and upper flight deck of the Crew Compartment.

Proceeds from Shuttle Trainer Crew Compartment Tours support the Museum’s STEM educational programs and mission. Due to the limited availability of this Experience, tickets may sell out and are non-refundable and non-replaceable.

Experience Length: 1-hour

We ask that you arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to your Experience start time. Please check-in at the Admissions Desk located in the Charles Simonyi Space Gallery on the Museum’s West Campus.
Requirements
For your safety, access to the Space Shuttle Crew Compartment and participation in this Experience is subject to certain physical, age and clothing requirements.
All participants are required to read and sign a safety waiver. All minors must have a parent/caregiver present to sign their waiver.
- Participants must be at least 12 years old.
- Participants between 12-15 years old must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver during the Experience.
- Participants must be under 6'4'' tall.
- Participants must be comfortable with heights and tight, enclosed spaces.
- Participants must be able to climb ladders without assistance.
- Participants must be able to navigate a hatchway that is 2'3'’ wide.
- Participants must wear closed-toe and closed-heel shoes.
- Participants must not wear skirts, dresses or kilts.

We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance of your visit to the Museum as availability is limited. Museum admission is required to book this Experience. The prices shown below are in addition to your general admission ticket.

Available every third weekend of the month on Saturday and Sunday. Additional dates and times may be added throughout the year for holiday weekends and special events. Please click the Buy Tickets button below to view a specific date.
